Makeovers for the ladies of the house....

Well, more me than Abby, but still.

I got a new hair cut! I was so tired of the long hair - couldn't cut it before the wedding because I wanted an updo or was going to wear it down and curly, so now was the time!

Before, picture from the honeymoon:

After:

It's almost exactly what I wanted.... hair people can't ever seem to get it right the first time, even with a page full of pictures to go off of... lol. Next time we'll get it. Josh loves it, so that's all that matters!! And I love it short.

As for Abby, I wanted to share what her bath time experiences are, because they're just so adorable and funny. Here's Abby before her bath, as I'm warming up the water. Look at her pout!! Such a sweet face.

She'll climb into the tub by herself and is really well behaved, but boy is she unhappy! Josh will come in at this point to try and cheer her up but she doesn't have it. She will eat the cookie he brings her though....
During Bath:

All done! She goes nuts after I dry her off and runs around like a crazy dog. She tries to dry herself off on all the furniture and floor, which we hate, so she gets a chewstick to entertain/distract her from doing that.

So cute when she's all clean!! Like a whole new puppy.

Have a good night!

LiveJournal version 2.0

I used to have a LJ in high school... this seems to be the new version of that. Let's hope I can keep up with this like I did that one - I was pretty good at it.

We have been married for over 2 months now (really?) and things couldn't be going any better. Marriage is definitely a work-in-progress, but I have to say that when both sides are giving 100%, it's really not that difficult overall. At the end of the day, you love each other and have more fun than not, and that's all that matters. A lot of prayer, patience and faith. And marry your best friend - that's really important.

Toilet seat? Eh, we're still working on it....

We have a little 2-bedroom apartment in Sanford now, just outside of Lake Mary, that I've been working hard to make feel as "homey" as possible without it being an actual house. Josh has his own room - the man room - that is a lifesaver! I can just shut the door and never have to see the mess of everything we can't get rid of, because it's "important" somehow. I still don't understand how I managed to let that futon upstairs... but at least it's in there where no one can see it! =) We still wish we had a backyard for Abby, but everything takes time. We're off to a good start, nonetheless.

This weekend is Drill, but I'm going with Josh this time to meet some of the people in his unit and their wives. I haven't been down to Clearwater with him since before the wedding and I really miss going - it's such a nice weekend getaway for me, laying the pool, shopping.... whilst the hubby is working. Sad for him, great for me. During the wedding planning process I would take projects down with me to work on in the hotel - I believe I finished my aisle runner, kids' shirts and door letters on the floor of the Hampton Inn over the past year.

Speaking of the wedding process - what a long road that was. I keep saying this, but I'm glad all that is over. I'm so happy with how everything turned out, but I was always so much more excited to start our life together (finally) and for the "future." The fact that it's here now and we're living it makes me so happy. Some days I wake up thinking it's not real (sappy, I know).
